Hailing from the best orchestras in Austria and Germany, the Vienna Brass Connection musicians delight with their delicacy in the sounds of brass.
The Vienna Brass Connection musicians are musicians who are part of the best orchestras in Austria and Germany: Vienna Philharmonic, Vienna State Opera, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Volksoper, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Lower Austria Tonkünstler Orchestra , Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, Graz Philharmonic, Cologne WDR Symphony Orchestra and Munich State Opera.
And although they are separated by hundreds of kilometers and two different nationalities, they are united by the same interest in brass music. That is why in 2011, Manuel Huber, principal horn of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, founded this ensemble that has been so successful since then.
The repertoire of the Vienna Brass Connection is extremely varied. In his concerts we will enjoy countless high moments. There will be moments of loud sounds, no doubt. But not everything that will come to them from the stage will be fortissimo. There will also be room for quiet, intimate and epic melodies at the same time, as these are important cornerstones of the show’s dramaturgy.
The Vienna Brass Connection performs carefully selected music that perfectly reflects all of life’s drives: sometimes strong, sometimes calm, sometimes happy, and also sad, with all its ups and downs. Literally.
Vienna Brass Connection is the place where each brass instrument has the importance and weight it deserves. Where the tubes can be tubes and the tubas can really sound like tubas. Where the percussion is not humiliated, but has a leading role.
Vienna Brass Connection offers wonderful pieces, sophisticated arrangements, competently and intelligently conducted by Johannes Kafka, and excellently performed by each of the musicians in the ensemble.
